SWIFTS CREEK BOAT RAMP

Public BBQ

This camping area sits right on the river with plenty of flat, cleared sites and good vehicle access (no 4WD required). The boat ramp gets high marks from fishing enthusiasts. Gas barbecues are available, though they've had periods of downtime following flood damage. Two long-drop toilets stay surprisingly clean and well-maintained by park rangers. The site offers open spaces with abundant birdlife and a peaceful riverside atmosphere. Sheltered areas provide cover when needed. Permits are required for camping and must be booked in advance, as there's no internet service on-site. While firewood is visible throughout the area, collection is not permitted. The campground recovered from previous flood impacts but continues to attract families and anglers looking for a well-equipped riverside camping spot with essential facilities.
